What look for :

  • You’re passionate about supporting our customers on their individual data-related journeys, ensuring their future business success.
  • You will advise our customers on modern data-related technology stacks and their specific needs in different business domains (e.g. e-commerce, healthcare, manufacturing).
  • You will play a leading role in requirements engineering and in the development of the envisaged platforms. This will include infrastructure (cloud), optimal loading from sources, transformation, as well as implementation of corresponding data use cases.
  • You’ll enjoy interacting with customers and collaborating with our analytics, technology and domain experts, while also guiding less experienced colleagues on their journey.

What require:

  • Preferably a degree in computer science, statistics, computer science, information systems or other quantitative field with excellent academic credentials.
  • More than 2 years’ experience as a data engineer, back-end engineer or in a similar position.
  • Experience writing production-ready code in Python and good knowledge of SQL (Java, C++, Scala, JavaScript, Go are a plus).
  • Experience with relational databases, knowledge of NoSQL databases a plus.
  • Experience with common cloud services, their infrastructure and data technology stack (e.g. AWS with EC2, S3, Redshift, Glue).
  • Preferably experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools such as Airflow, Luigi and Fivetran.
  • Passion for emerging tools and best practices, giving you a good overview of tools and frameworks in the data engineering landscape (e.g. Airflow, Spark, Kafka, OLAP / OLTP / No-SQL). You can reason about system design taking into account data structure, data size, performance, costs and other KPIs.
