What look for :

  • Proficiency in a back-end programming language (PHP, Python, Ruby, Java or .NET).
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Integrate user-visible elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic.
  • Ability to manage a hosting environment, including database administration as well as application scalability to handle load variations.
  • Understand accessibility and security compliance issues.
  • Manage user authentication and authorization across multiple systems, servers and environments.
  • Create database schemas that represent and support business processes.
  • Support and supervise junior web developers.
  • Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.
  • Have a solid understanding of code version management tools, such as Git.

What require:

  • A university degree in computer science, computer programming, information technology or relevant work experience with excellent academic results (a Master’s degree or MBA would be an asset).
  • At least 3 years’ experience in the relevant field.
  • Experience in (technical) project management.
  • Open-mindedness, empathy, ability to balance interests, as well as the ability to criticize and question independently.
  • Team player, persuasive, with excellent communication and conflict management skills, a sense of responsibility and a solution-oriented attitude.
